Why Choose Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a discipline for all ages, from children to seniors. Physiotherapists are healthcare professionals with a university master's degree and are members of the Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec. They are movement experts, and their expertise allows them to address a multitude of problems and conditions to support you in your rehabilitation through exercises, manual techniques, and advice. All with the goal of getting you back on your feet, as before and even better than before!

Our Expertise

We are experts in several areas of physiotherapy.

Trauma

Whether it's for an injury sustained while playing sports or simply climbing a ladder at home, a thorough evaluation of your condition is essential. This will allow for an accurate diagnosis and the establishment of an appropriate treatment plan. Doing so will help effectively manage the inflammatory phase, accelerate the healing process, and ensure you can safely return to your activities.

Chronic Pain

Dealing with long-standing pain that just won't go away? Following a comprehensive evaluation of your condition, a physiotherapist can establish a treatment plan with you. This will include manual therapy, targeted exercises, and tailored advice to help you manage your daily life and activities.

Concussion

Our professionals are CCMI (Complete Concussion Management) certified. Whether your concussion resulted from a sports contact, a workplace incident, or a car accident, the physiotherapist will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of each sphere of the brain to establish a clear picture of your condition. Subsequently, a treatment plan will be developed, exertion tests will be performed, and a return-to-work/sport protocol will be presented to you.

CNESST/SAAQ

Have you been injured at work or in a car accident? We offer physiotherapy treatments that are directly covered and paid for by the CNESST and SAAQ. Our professionals will take charge of your care to help you safely return to work and your leisure activities.

Post-Operative Rehabilitation

From ACL repair to rotator cuff reconstruction, a physiotherapist will take charge of your care from day one until you've made a complete recovery. Patients will also benefit from our on-site gym to maximize the effectiveness of their exercise protocol.

Multiple Expertise

Dizziness issues, running analysis, vertigo problems, headaches, jaw pain, and more!

Testimonials

Our clients are our priority. Here are some of their testimonials.

Amandine Pruvot

Excellent service from Stefania! She's very attentive and takes the time to explain and treat. My first consultation lasted almost 2 hours!

Michel Foisy

I saw Stefania at Action Sport P in Rosemère because the clinic was close to home for regular shoulder pain. Wow, she was really attentive and took all the time necessary to perform several tests/checks to properly target the problem. She also takes the time to explain the results and her analysis in detail to help me correctly understand the issue and motivate me to do the exercises. I like her approach, which is based on self-healing and the importance of following the exercise plan. I also really appreciated that Action Sport P is a major franchise because their website for downloading the exercise plan is very well done and allows downloads in several formats, plus it has videos. I recommend anyone looking for a Physio to give Stefania Colaneri a try.

Camille Nadeau

Super fast service and a very competent therapist.

Frequently asked questions

Should I see a doctor before consulting a physiotherapist?
No, it's not necessary. For private services, you don't need a doctor's prescription to see a physiotherapist. They'll do a thorough assessment and, if needed, advise you to see a doctor. However, if you have insurance, it's best to check with your insurance plan to see if a medical prescription is required. If you're consulting after a work accident (CNESST) or car accident (SAAQ), you will need a medical report to access this service. For more information, please contact us.
What happens during the first session?
During your first physiotherapy session, your professional will take the time to evaluate your condition and provide you with a detailed clinical impression. Following that, a treatment plan (including at-home exercises/advice and the number of in-clinic treatments needed) will be discussed to outline the steps for you to return to your regular activities. Your first treatment will also be administered during this session. Please set aside 1 hour for the evaluation and an additional 10 minutes to complete your medical history form.
What kind of environment are treatments conducted in?
Depending on the situation and/or the patient's preference, treatments can take place in either a closed (private) or open room setting.
What should I wear for my physiotherapy treatments?
Sportswear is ideal for treatments. It's much easier to move freely in loose clothing than in a pair of jeans! If you forget, we always have clean spare clothing available at the clinic.
My injury is from a workplace/road accident, can I come to your clinic?
Absolutely! We are official service providers for both the SAAQ and the CNESST. For these specific cases, you'll need to call our clinic directly. A receptionist will then explain in detail the documentation you'll need to bring for your first visit.
Why choose Action Sport Physio?
When you come to our clinic, you'll be individually assessed and treated by a licensed professional. We have a multidisciplinary team of qualified and competent professionals. We're so confident in our client service that we're the only clinic to offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee if you're not happy with your experience.
I have an injury, but I'm not sure which discipline to choose?
We suggest starting with physiotherapy. We have an interdisciplinary team, and after their assessment, your physiotherapist will be able to direct you to other disciplines if they deem it appropriate.
